"Chianti Rooms" is located in Greve in Chianti, in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by the vineyards which produce the world-famous Chianti Classico wines. We are open all year round, and a stay in one of our rooms means you can make the most of all that the town has to offer, whilst still being able to enjoy the peace and quiet of our "Agriturismo", and the green of our gardens.
We are handily placed, being only 700yds from the famous main square of Greve, 300yds from the nearest bus stop ( for buses to and from Florence) and 200yds from the local swimming pool. A short distance away, you can hire bicycles or scooters to visit nearby castles and wine cellars. Worth mentioning are Montefioralle, an ancient mediaeval fortified town, whose people founded the town of Greve below; the Verrazzano Castle, birthplace of Giovanni da Verrazzano, who crossed the Atlantic Ocean in the 15th Century and discovered the Bay of New York - a large statue of him takes pride of place in the square to commemorate this fact; Vignamaggio Castle where Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa

As we are close both to Florence (30kms away) and Siena (35kms), it is possible to go on any number of interesting excursions. You can ask for specific information at the Tourist Office, which is 200yds away.
